Mission Statement

The St. Francis de Sales Catholic Academy family is committed to academic excellence, Christian service to others, and providing a Christ-centered, safe, and engaging environment where students can grow spiritually and academically towards a faith-filled future.

Anchored in Christ

At St. Francis de Sales Catholic Academy our hope, based on the unfailing promises of our God, is why our school is here, and why we focus our efforts to grow in the knowledge of God!

“We have this hope as anchor for the soul, firm and secure.” - St. Paul

Being Anchored in Christ helps us always to remember and praise God for the many blessings He has given us personally and as a school community.

Four Pillars of Student Life

Students of St. Francis de Sales Catholic Academy are asked to live the life of four pillars that represent all that is good in the students of this school. These four pillars are:

A Student who lives the Gospel
St. Francis of Assisi is quoted in saying, “Preach the Gospel always, and use words when necessary.” A Student of the Gospel leads our school community by their actions. They consistently demonstrate what it truly means to be a disciple and follower of Christ. They are a student who always tries to do what is right, even if it is difficult. They are active participants in their faith on a daily and weekly basis. They are active in their Parish, and participate in various community service projects.

A Student of Courage
Ken Follet in “Pillars of the Earth” writes, “Having faith in God did not mean sitting back and doing nothing. It meant believing you would find success if you did your best honestly and energetically.” A Student of Courage does the right thing, even when the wrong thing to do might be easier. They are not afraid to take the first step in life, and are committed to their goals. They know that we fall in life to learn how to pick ourselves up. They will never give up no matter what comes into his or her life.

A Student of Academic Excellence
A student of Academic Excellence demonstrates academic excellence on an everyday basis. Academic excellence is the demonstrated ability to perform, achieve, and/or excel in scholastic activities. Academic excellence has been identified with achieving high grades and superior performance. But academic excellence is more than just making good grades. It is the maximum development of your intellectual capacities and skills in service to humanity. They consistently go beyond what is asked of them in the classroom. They are always trying to further their knowledge, and at the same time help expand their classmates’ knowledge as well.

A Student of Leadership
Henry Kissinger said, “The task of the leader is to get his people from where they are to where they have not been.” A Student of Leadership is honest, is not stuck in the present but looks toward the future, demonstrates integrity, inspires others to do and be the best and is intelligent. They prove to be capable to motivate fellow schoolmates toward a common goal.

These four pillars provide the support that lets all of our students transmit their knowledge to their everyday lives.
