In the Spring of 2022, St. Francis de Sales Catholic Academy began to work on DeSales115, the Strategic Plan for the Academy. The strategic plan focuses on six domains: Catholic Identity, Academic Excellence, Governance and Leadership, Finance and Development, Enrollment and Marketing, and Resource Planning.
After a great deal of research and discussion, a school-wide writing curriculum was created by members of the Academic Excellence committee.
The writing benchmarks are broken down from kindergarten through eighth grade, where each year scaffolds and builds on the previous year. In addition to the writing benchmarks, St. Francis de Sales will adopt a writing portfolio system for kindergarten through eighth grade.
