Catholic Schools Week (February 10th-February 17th) Schedule of Events

Friday 2/10 (Jersey Day)

  • All students can wear their favorite sports jersey, and all students are asked to bring in a canned good for the “SOUPer Bowl of Caring” All donations are going to the St. Rose of Lima Food Pantry.

  • ½ Day with a 12-noon dismissal

  • Opening Prayer Service- 11:30 am in School Gym 

  • Faculty Luncheon (12:15 pm-2pm)

  • 6th Grade Open Gym (7 pm-9 pm)

Sunday 2/12

All are invited to join the parish, administration, faculty, students, and families for the Opening of Catholic Schools Week Mass Sunday, 2/12, at 10 am at Blessed Trinity Parish (St. Edmund’s) and at 10 am at St. Francis de Sales Parish.

All students are asked to wear their full dress uniform that day when they sit with their families. Any student in full uniform will receive a Dress Down Ticket to be used in between 2/26/23 and 4/8/23. This is a great way to kick off Catholic Schools Week and be a part of our two aligned parishes. There will be a small reception with light refreshments after each mass. We hope to see you there!

Monday 2/13 (Decade Day)

  • Students can dress according to the decade of your floor.  

  • 1st Floor (Nursery,  PreK, and 2B) - 1980’s 

  • 2nd Floor/Kindergarten Wing - (Kindergarten and 1st Grade) - 1950’s 

  • 3rd Floor( 2A, 2C, 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th Grades) - 1960’s 

  • 4th Floor (7th and 8th grade) - 1970’s 

  • Pre-K and Kindergarten students are invited to join us after school from 2:45 pm-3:45 pm for a special Catholic Schools Week Art and Craft Project and Photo Op with Franny our Mascot.

  • National Junior Honor Society Induction Ceremony at 7 pm in St. Francis de Sales Church. 

Tuesday 2/14 (100th Day of School)

  • Principal/Assistant Principal of the Day

  • Students are asked to wear a shirt that celebrates 100 Days of School or to dress as if they were 100 years old.

  • Radio Bingo for all students in Grades 1-5 from 4 pm-5:30 pm

Wednesday 2/15 

  • All students are asked to wear a St. Francis de Sales Shirt (2023 CSW Shirt or past CSW Shirt). If a student does not own a CSW Shirt, they can wear their Gym Shirt.

  • School Mass at 10:00 am in St. Francis de Sales Church for Grades 1-8 (All are welcome)

Thursday, 2/16 (Blue and Gold Day Grades K-4)

  • Blue and Gold Day (Grades PK-4)

    • 9 am-10 am- Kindergarten (Parents of students in Kindergarten are welcome)

    • 10:30 am-12:00 pm- Grades 1 and 2 (Parents of students in Grades 1-2 are welcome)

    • 12:30 pm-2 pm- Grades 3 and 4 (Parents of students in Grades 3-4 are welcome)

  • Students in Pre-K and Grades 5-8 can wear flannel pajama pants.

  • Nursery students are asked to wear their favorite TV or Movie T-Shirt. 

  • Class of 2023 Blue and Gold Night-8th Graders vs. Parents

Friday 2/17 (Blue and Gold Day Pre-K AND Grades 5-8)

  • Blue and Gold Day (Grades 5-8)

    • 9am-9:30 am- Pre-Kindergarten (Parents of students in Pre-Kindergarten are welcome)

    • 10am-11:45am- Grades 5-6 (Parents of students in Grades 5-6 are welcome)

    • 12:30pm-2:15pm- Grades 7 and 8 (Parents of students in Grades 7-8 are welcome)

  • Students in Grades K-4 can wear flannel pajama pants.

  • Students in Nursery and Pre-K will wear Blue or Gold
